Downton Abbey’s Doors Stay Open For Gareth Naeme

Every time you have come to grips with reality, that Downton Abbey is coming to an end, another story airs stating the contrary. It seems the saga keeps on going and Gareth Naeme will not let it die.

For those that do not know who Gareth Naeme is, he plans the scripts and storyline with Julian Fellowes. So he is a major player when dealing with how the story will come to a close.

In a recent interview with Gareth, he made all the usually required statements to the press about how the storyline would come to a close.

Mr Neame said: “We want to answer all the questions that people are asking: will Edith get a break? Are Bates and Anna going to get any good news? Is Mary, with all the ups and downs that she has had over the past 12 years of the story, going to see light at the end of the tunnel and settle down?

“I don’t know that they are all necessarily going to be OK because, don’t forget, we’ve always said that this show is about the end of a way of life, the end of an era.

But then, he adds:

“But I can confirm they are not all going to be wiped out by a meteorite. At the end, as we leave them to their own lives, yes, the door will be left open to come back to the majority of them in the future.”

Many of the tv cast didn’t even know how big the television series had become, because for some, it was their first acting job,

“Downton was my first television job. I was so excited and happy to be in the company of the actors I was in I didn’t realise the hype around it,” she said.

“It was around October time of the first series that Hugh Bonneville, who plays Lord Grantham, said to me, ‘Laura they aren’t all like this. Not every single TV job you have will be so big’.

It’s been heartfelt and people are really going to miss such a time savory period drama. But, like Naeme expressed. The door is not closed for some magic to occur, so fans have something to relish in that.

Lastly, this show did more than just touch the lives of people around the world, but also saved Highclere castle itself. The financial state of the estate is not looking so good. So this show has resurrected its health!

“Missing Characters” Sparks Fan Craze for New Season of Downton Abbey

With the final new episodes set to air for Downton Abbey Season 6 in the UK, what could possibly be worse than revealing an image on twitter than leaves out a character we have all come to love. On 13 August 2015, the official Downton Abbey twitter revealed the new downton abbey picture for the final season 6 series. Fans of the television series quickly came to notice a very particular character missing from the photo. People took to the twitter sphere to share their thoughts.

“WHERE IS TOM BRANSON? OH NO I’M GONNA CRY,” one fan replied.

Another tweeted, “@DowntonAbbey no Lady Rose? :(“

“Where are Tom & Sybbie?!?!??? BOOO,” a third dissatisfied customer tweeted.

Although Allen Leech has already come out stating that he would at least be in one scene, it didn’t stop people from going off on tangential nightmares. Fans now really coming to terms with reality and it is simply something we cannot bare. Stop giving us these heart attacks.

Julian Fellowes Commentary

Originally, Fellowes only expected the television series to last a couple years, he stated in a June Q&A discussion.

“Originally we had thought in terms of five years, and then we thought we just didn’t have enough space to kind of wrap everyone up. So, it seemed a good idea to do one more,” he said.

The Games the Producer of Downton Abbey Plays – Movie Details

Downton Abbey Movie A Serious Discussion

It seems that for the past couple of months Julian Fellowes has been playing quite the game with his Downton Abbey fans. Months back, it surfaced that by the end of the series a possible movie could spring to life. Some of this information might have been forged from ink thirsty writers. Whatever it may have been, it seemed that Julian Fellowes liked it and even hinted to a similar J.K. Rowling type deal.

A week or two ago, the flip started to occur. Articles started coming out that Julian Fellowes just wasn’t sure it would be a success and there were too many logistical obstacles in the way. He has built a cast so ornate and so recognizable that anything remotely diminished could absolutely ruin the integrity of what he built. His reputation was on the line to produce. I believe this really played a big factor. As Fellowes has allowed the thoughts to sit and marinate for some time, it seems a too good of an opportunity to let slide.

With so much anticipation, with so much talk, with so much publicity, it seems like a movie post Downton Abbey Season 6 finale is becoming much more a reality. Producer Naeme explained that the idea of a movie was on the table. It hadn’t been a firm decision but is highly being dialogued. Naeme and others are hesitant because of the appeal of the show itself. Naeme explains that,

“Remember, this is a show I was originally told no one in the U.S. would understand,”

And for the most part, he was correct. But the fact of the matter is, it has caught on in the United States, United Kingdom, Denmark, Canada, and many other countries. The real question becomes, is there enough money in the production of the movie to come away with profit by creating, marketing, and advertising for this movie. This is something that will be thought about in the oncoming months as the show is set to air in September for UK. What might help solidify the movie details will be the viewer count post season 6. Naeme states it pretty clearly when he says,

“I think we could have legitimately kept it going a bit longer,” he said. “But you do want to leave people wanting more, not less.”

So if the appeal is still there and not diminishing, there is a real possibility that a movie could come to fruition.

A Movie on the Horizon Lord Julian Fellowes Hints for Downton Abbey Fans?

It seems that upon the loss of UK’s highest watched drama television series after season 6, Julian Fellowes makes a surprising little hint. In a recent interview with Variety, Fellowes apparently stated, “It may be reborn as a movie or a play or a musical or a ballet. Who knows if we’ve seen the last of it? But we do know we’ve seen the last of the television series. This will be the ending.”

This leads many to believe, including myself, that Fellowes could be trying to build an empire like Harry Potter with deals of expanding the life of Downton Abbey. It would be very difficult as fans are very particular, but… What seems to be upsetting to viewers though, or at least to this viewer, is that Fellowes is very willing to explain how the show will end. Although it isn’t written in detail, he explains the overall scope of the ending. While I will not share it with you guys, you can very well find it online. But seeing this is the last season, I would make a serious effort to go into this season blind and just enjoy the remaining series and be content with where the cards fall.

While the creation of a motion picture or film would make a lot of fans happy (giving them there daily dose of drama), without the same plot lines and characters, the movie would not even come close to what it is now. Nor would viewers even buy a movie ticket. The series is what it is because of the plot and the cast. So anything deviating from this norm really leaves something left to be desired. And Lord Julian Fellowes definitely understands this. He definitely has “mixed feelings” about it.

So while viewers and fans are still reeling from the pain of the news heard months ago, there is still something to keep your heads looking up at. Downton Abbey Season 6 finale is set to air sometime in September for the United Kingdom. No real timeline has been set yet, but if we follow the past 5 seasons, we can come to that conclusion. This means the Christmas Special will air in December with the United States air date sometime in January unless some deal is made to air it at the same time.

Taxpayer Money Used On Downton Abbey Congressman For Hot Photographer

The British hit television series Downton Abbey on PBS has been getting a lot of press recently, mainly because there are lots of jibber jabber of Julian Fellowes leaving the show for another. With that already getting fans blood curdling, to amplify the emotional swing, it’s not helping many when a Congressman in the United States, whom a fan of Downton Abbey, is spending taxpayer funded money towards hot photographers.

With all the snuff about high class aristocracy and the promotion of the show itself, this doesn’t really help the show, it only opens a can of worms about high society and there mistreatment of lower income society. Schock is a Congressman from Illinois, and he has a handsome photographer follow him day and night on taxpayer money.

If this isn’t enough for you, he spends $10,000 on Superbowl tickets, partying with Ariana Grande, and staying at lavish hotels that are named dropped from other high class society. Is this a massive issue, not really because it happens all the time in congress. The massive problem is that it happens all the time in Congress… and nothing is done about it. Now it is clinging on to Downton Abbey and bringing it down. Take a look at this ALS challenge by Schock and just remember, this was most likely done using taxpayer money.

Season 7 Might Just Be In The Works For Downton Abbey

Downton Abbey has been a cultural phenomenon in the United States. More importantly, it has become a cultural phenomenon for women in the United States. As long as Kim Kardashians ratings are on the downfall, I am all for it! Recently, it has come to surface that there was a major chance that Downton Abbey would be finished come season 6 next year. While women still are coming to reel from this, there could be some light at the end of the tunnel.

There has been lots of speculation of Julian Fellowes leaving to the states to start his new upcoming television series, “The Gilded Age.” That being said, it won’t stop women from following their beloved creator and writer so the show already has high hopes. Additionally, although Julian Fellowes stated in an interview that he would be unable to writer two shows, it hasn’t stopped thoughts of the other writers from adding an addition season.

Nothing currently has been written in stone yet and Fellowes might come to shock all his viewers with one last season, season 7. With each additional season added year by year, one can infer that Downton Abbey cannot just be dropped with on season remaining. There are too many unresolved situations occurring at Highclere Castle. That being said, more closely than not, there will be at least one final season and that is season 7!

Julian Fellowes Leaves England and Downton Abbey To Work On “The Gilded Age.”

Downton Abbey has been a towering television drama series from the UK. It’s successes come from an excellent writer and actor/actress relationship bringing the most from what has been given. NBC Entertainment President Robert Greenblatt announced at the Television Critics Association press tour that Julian Fellowes would be headed to New York to start writing the new series, “The Gilded Age.” Early when asked about this he stated that he would only start writing “The Gilded Age” only when Downton Abbey was over. When pressed about the issue, Fellowes stated that the show wasn’t going to go on forever.

Even though it hasn’t been completely determined that Downton Abbey will end after season 6, everything is pointing to that being the case.

Downton Abbey to Write Possible Last Season 6

Fans of the hit British television show series Downton Abbey will be sorely pissed as it has come to our attention that the new television series, “The Gilded Age,” will be at the forefront of Julian Fellowes mind. Seeing that Julian Fellowes writes every single episode, without him to keep up the series, it looks like season 6 will be the very end of Downton Abbey.

Although we have come to respect and admire Downton Abbey, it shouldn’t be a total loss as “The Gilded Age” will follow the typical plot line. The difference between the storyline is that the show will take place in the late nineteenth century that follows the lives of American millionaires. WoooHoooo, another show that admires the rich!

Even though this isn’t a 100% guarantee, it seem like this has become a priority for them and moving “The Gilded Age” forward. It has been looming in the dark for the past two years and I feel that Fellowes is ready to move on.
